about

the simple autobiography

When I was in the first grade, there was a discussion at recess about what instrument would be best to learn how to play. Everyone settled on the electric guitar. I decided I wanted to play drums just to spite the lemmings. Now that’s Rock and Roll! Except, I later focused much more on the guitar.

When I was fifteen, I discovered the Beatles. Then I decided I better properly learn an instrument.

When I started playing drums, my cousin Jared got a bass.

Later Brock, Nick, and Daren all joined us with guitars.

Four bands came forth—Pluto, Emmett Fledges and the Stonyend, The Stonyend, and The Aura.

Then Daren and I both had girlfriends named Jen. Jared discovered that JEN was an acronym for “Jamming Ends Now.”

Other projects were attempted and failed.

Born out of a frustration of not being able to keep my own bands alive, The Municipal Band was created. Talents much greater than my own have graced the microphone to give you the album, wightwash.
